On my way (Onderweg)
‘On my way’ is a photobook in collaboration with poetry in which I have made a fictional storyline visual. The photos represent men who struggle with uncertainty and try to find themselves in an individual way. I begin this project because in mine opinion, we don’t talk a lot and make not visual what it’s like to deal and find a way in uncertainty that men experience. I think this is a shame because this should be more open to discussion and visible. How i see it, everyone struggles with insecurities sometimes and there may be. Everyone takes steps in their own way to do something with it. To free yourself from uncertainty, to explore and to find a new me. That is my goal and message with my photobook ‘Onderweg’ ( On my way)
muur van gedachtes, ik kijk ernaar
tegen op
om die ene stap te zetten
maar wat als ik het toch doe
brengt het mij dichter bij mijn eigen kern
mijn naaktheid, eerlijkheid
kan ik mijzelf dan wel aankijken?
En steeds vaker
weet ik wat ik zeg
ik ben niet wetend
ik ben onderweg
